With therapeutic work encouraging the integration of mind, body, emotions and the environment, clients establish the internal resources required to live a healthy and balanced life.

Helen has trained in The Richards Trauma Process, a fast, safe effective program that uses hypnotherapy to assist removal of the emotional impact of the trauma. Generally just 3 sessions of hypnotherapy introduces you to the truth of who you are and a calmness to the clients situation. Its the opportunity to rewrite your future.
A very effective direct process to overcome anxiety, stress, depression, addiction, baggage and trauma. Some people are looking for a quicker way than counselling to take control of there situation and find peace.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) focuses on helping people develop psychological flexibility. The term “flexibility” may sound odd in the context of psychotherapy, but it is actually a very descriptive term. Psychological flexibility refers to one’s ability to contact the present moment fully as a conscious human being and to persist in or change behaviour in the service of what is important to the individual, i.e. one’s values. ACT has two major goals at its core: the acceptance of unwanted private experiences which are out of personal control and committed action toward living a valued life. In other words, the ability to experience whatever emotions, thoughts or physical sensations arise while one is doing something that’s important and to continue on the path. If you feel “stuck” or find yourself repeating old patterns, it may be an indication of psychological inflexibility in a particular area. An acceptance approach does not abandon efforts to change, it’s not about resignation, but rather it targets efforts toward things over which we have more ability to change, such as overt behaviour or life situations, rather than personal history or automatic thoughts and feelings.
Person Centered Therapy
This type of counselling deals with the ways in which people perceive themselves consciously rather than having a counsellor try to interpret unconscious thoughts or ideas. There are many different components and tools used in person-centered counselling, including active listening genuineness, paraphrasing, and more. The real point is that the client already has the answers to the problems and the job of the counsellor is to listen without making any judgements, without giving advice, and simply help the client feel accepted and understand their own feelings.
Counselling is not only about looking at the past, it is also about building a sustainable future that is spiritually, intellectually and emotionally fulfilling. This may require an exploration of the transpersonal as well as the attitudes, behaviours and feelings associated with everyday experience.
You may have lost sight of your vision for yourself, or of the things that you would like to make a permanent feature in your life: those experiences that make you look forward to the day ahead, and allow you to retire to sleep with a sense of satisfaction and fulfilment. Person centred counselling provides an opportunity for you to come to terms with your difficulties and challenges, your hopes and your dreams.
This type of counselling addresses all aspects of a person’s being e.g. mental, emotional, physical, spiritual and social aspects. It can involve Emotional Freedom Technique and Dissolution Freedom Technique. The aim is to help you discover the answers to your own questions and problems by helping you understand your past, your present and the impact it has on you and your life today.
Holistic counselling offers you new ways of thinking, feeling and behaving as well as:
- a deeper understanding of yourself
- a deeper understanding about the origin of your “outside” circumstances
- greater self-esteem
- emotional healing
- a deeper understanding of your emotions, behaviours and experiences in life
- greater awareness and a higher level of consciousness
- development of interpersonal skills
- new ways of relating to yourself and others
- empowering ways to deal with everyday life challengersr
- Reduced stress and anxiety
Holistic Counselling can offer change on a stronger and deeper level. Holistic Counselling creates change that enables healing and peace and is lasting. Holistic Counselling is enabling you to recognize and celebrate your “inner” self. The aim in Holistic Counselling is rather than trying to change outside circumstances, to facilitate more realistic perceptions of those circumstances. Thus we come to accept the reality that is our daily life with a greater awareness of choices we actually have, both about our responses and our emotions. Learning to become conscious of the choices we have, and then to choose in the most appropriate way, leads to more personal freedom, liberation, and self-realization, more joy and happiness.
The Work of Byron Katie
The Work of Byron Katie is a process that clears the mind. It is a way to identify and question the thoughts that cause all the suffering and violence in the world. The Work is simply four questions and turnarounds, which is a way of experiencing the opposite of what you believe through your own examples. Anyone with an open mind can do it. The process is simple, radical, and can be life changing for those whose minds is open to it.” Byron Katie in Loving What Is.
